The Thinker
By Frank Morrison
You know sometimes its good to just sit down and have a few thoughts. This is what was on my mind today.
Why would you try to foster a friendship or relationship when you know you do not possess the capacity to see it through. Some roads are only meant to be traveled once.
Why is it that Mothers and Daughters are seldom as close as “Daddies” and “Little Girls”. Is it because they are too similar or too different?
Who made up the rule that you “HAD” to have a church home to be adequately “covered”. Isn’t God’s covering enough?
Why is it a bad thing to be comfortable in your life. Who made up the rule that you have to spend every day outside your comfort zone? Why can’t that be a once a month kind of deal?
Why don’t we have Spain’s labor laws? I’d like to have an 8 hour work day with a 2 hour mandatory paid lunch and no overtime. Sounds like a good idea to me. Who do I see about that?
Why is it no one who voted for Bush could see what the rest of us saw? Retardation is usually visible at a glance and stupidity can be diagnosed after the first few syllables.
Why is it that some people refuse to see life’s bigger picture. And why does their narrow mindedness bother me so much?
Why are there some things that scare the daylights out of me? And why are they always tiny with wings and 4 or more legs.
Who made up the rule that being who you are is only good if you are perfect? I prefer to be me all day long. I hate having to wear a mask and a muzzle.
Why can’t we just say what we mean, mean what we say and still be able to change our minds if we find out we were wrong. Why is it so hard to say “I’m sorry, I was wrong? “
Why is it that some people only miss their water when the well is dry? Then they try to fill the well back up and wonder why it doesn’t work. Talk about your futile efforts…who the Hell does that.
Why is being saved synonymous with being fake, arrogant, pretentious, unyielding, narrow minded and holier than thou? Those danggone church folks will ruin it for the rest of us every time.
Why does being a fundamentalist Christian equal closed minded? Who made the rule I can’t fundamentally believe in God my way and still respect your right to believe yours?
Why is it the thing I want the most is perpetually outside of my grasp?
Why is it some people don’t take no for an answer?
Is it me or are all these questions unanswerable?
Just thinking.
